We are so excited today to officially introduce Performx's newest team member, our Independence & Salem Therapeutic Sports Massage Therapist, Emilio!

Emilio is a soft tissue specialist, utilizing a variety of active and passive range of movement techniques, myofascial techniques and deep tissue work to really open things up.

Therapeutic sports massage is something we've been eager to offer in our Independence & Salem locations for awhile, but really wanted to make sure that we got the right person with the right skillset to fit into the Performx model.

Not quite sure what we mean? We break it all down [here, in our blog post about how Sports Massage and Physical Therapy can be a match made in heaven. ](https://performxpt.com/blog/sports-massage-salem-and-independenc)

Emilio has been a therapist for over 10 years, working in a variety of clinics - everything from Oregon's only 5 star resort to the Track & Field Olympic trials in Eugene.

Originally from Silverton, he's an Oregon native and lives in the Willamette Valley with his wife and two daughters.

When he's not working his massage magic, he's usually playing guitar, watching basketball, traveling or hiking with the family.

So if you've had a kink in your back, struggle to open up a range of movement on your own, or just want your muscles loosened up after a big workout - Emilio's your guy!

All of our therapeutic massage sessions are now available to be booked online in both our Salem and Independence and we have a feeling slots are going to go quick! [Check it out here.](https://performxpt.janeapp.com/?utm_source=hs_email&utm_medium=email&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8HVgkFQoh7QKrJvSkgS3JymBv4hSyYkwPmbSJsy8QE0l1Ume8WHZgwGj5L8xQGHeJDVVID)

We're kicking things off with Salem Sports Massage sessions available on Thursday evenings & all day Friday and Independence Sports Massage sessions available Tuesday & Wednesday evenings and all day Saturday.

Be sure to give Emilio a warm welcome if you see him around Anytime Fitness Independence and Combat Sports Center Salem!
