 Mobility + Flow

Yoga built for athletes and active people. A movement practice that helps you perform better at what you already love doing.

Small classes in Independence, Oregon. Led by a 24-year movement coach who also speaks CrossFit, running, and lifting. All levels, no experience needed.

Your first class is free.

What This Actually Is

You don't need to become a "yoga person."

Mobility + Flow isn't a separate practice you have to commit your whole life to. Think of it the way you think about sleep or dialing in your nutrition: a tool that makes everything else you're doing work better.

If you run, lift, do CrossFit, train for races, or just spend your day at a desk and want to move and feel better, this is the session that keeps you moving well. You'll build mobility, control, and breath so you recover faster, stay durable, and show up stronger for the training and the life you already have.

It's led by Shirley, who has practiced and taught yoga for 24 years and also coaches CrossFit, kettlebells, and natural movement. She understands where athletes get stuck and how to actually open it up, safely.

Come as you are. Leave moving better.

Class Schedule

One class. Three times a week. Pick what fits your schedule.

Every session is Mobility + Flow: the same athlete-minded practice built around breath, mobility, and durability.
Show up to whichever time works for your week.

Tuesdays, 6:30pm

Reset midweek. Undo the desk, the training load, and the stress before it stacks up.

Saturdays, 10am

Move out the week. A relaxed start to the weekend that leaves you loose, not wiped.

Sundays, 10am

Prime for the week ahead. Open up, breathe, and walk into Monday ready to train.

Classes are capped at 10 people, so booking ahead holds your spot.

Why People Drive Past Other Options to Practice Here

  • Built to support your training, not replace it.

This isn't one more thing competing for your time. It's the maintenance work that makes your running, lifting, and life feel better. A utility session, not a new identity.
  • Small Classes, Real Attention

Maximum 10 people. Your coach actually sees you, knows your limitations, and gives real guidance. Not a sea of mats where you're left to follow along.

  • A Clinical Setting That Gets It

Performx is a physical therapy and performance clinic. The space is clean, professional, and built for movement. Mobility work here isn't an afterthought; it's part of how we keep people healthy and performing.

  • A Coach who Speaks Your Language

Shirley brings 24 years of yoga plus CrossFit, MovNat, kettlebells, and breathwork. She knows how athletes move, where they get tight, and how to open it up without putting you on the shelf.

  • For Athletes and Regular Humans Alike

Recovering from training, sitting at a desk all day, or just want to move better and feel calmer? These classes meet you where you are. No pretense, no pressure to be bendy.

Meet Shirley

Shirley has been coaching movement for over 15 years and practicing yoga for 24. She's spent time in nearly every corner of the movement world: CrossFit coaching, kettlebells, MovNat, and breathwork. That breadth is the point. She understands how different bodies move, where athletes get stuck, and what each person actually needs.

She teaches with compassion and kindness, looking to connect with every student. She believes in staying balanced, finding joy in movement, and consciously pushing your own limits.

Questions? We've Got Answers.

I've never done yoga before. Is this class right for me?

Absolutely. Mobility + Flow is built for all levels. Shirley teaches with modifications and progressions so everyone can work at their own level, and the small class size means you get personal attention.

I'm an athlete, not a yoga person. Is this going to be too easy or too "woo" for me?

This was built for you. It's a mobility, breath, and movement session designed to keep hard-training bodies durable and recovering well. No incense-and-chanting requirement. Just practical work that makes your sport feel better.

I'm not flexible. Will I be able to keep up?

Mobility builds flexibility, it doesn't require it. You'll meet your body where it is today, not force it into shapes it can't make. That's the whole point.

What should I bring?

Just yourself, comfortable clothes you can move in, and a mat. We have props available (and often a spare mat if you forget yours or haven't gotten one yet).

How do I book a class?

Click HERE to view the schedule and reserve your spot, or call/text us at 541-327-4797. Classes are capped at 10 people, so booking ahead ensures your place.

Is there anything I need to fill out before my first class?

Just a quick intake consent form. You can complete it when you book online or when you arrive.

When are classes?

Mobility + Flow runs three times a week: Tuesdays at 6:30 PM, Saturdays at 10:00 AM, and Sundays at 10:00 AM. Same class each time, so come to whichever fits your schedule.

Where are you located?

We're at 296 S Main St in Independence, Oregon (the historic Taylor's Drug building on the corner). Street parking is usually easy to find. If Saturday morning is busy during farmers market season, try the library lot across the street.
