We have already shared the Performx story of how we got to this point in time. But why do it? Why take this (weird), harder, and non-traditional physical therapy path? ๐ค
Why open up a physical therapy clinic that doesn't accept insurance in the way people are used to?
Why offer intensive (and sometimes draining) 1-on-1 physical therapy sessions that are hour long appointments without the help of aides or students?
Why hold ourselves accountable to not healing an injury 'good enough' but ensuring people actually surpass the goals they original set?
Why not take the easy route many healthcare professionals take of using language to scare people into using their services?
It really comes down to our mission and values as a company -
A few clarifying pieces here...
Honestly do you care if your shoulder has full range of movement or do you care about being being able to beat your MURPH time because your shoulders aren't killing you with every kip?
Do you care about your back being in perfect alignment or do you care about feeling confident that you can lift your kid out of the bathtub every day?
It's only when it starts to stop you from doing that thing that it becomes worth the effort of fixing.
So why do things in the strange way we've chosen? Because doing things the traditional way doesn't allow us to fulfill that mission.
And it also doesn't align with our core values - the ones we try to use as filters for every action or decision we make - not just for some nice looking framed print up on the wall.
Here are just a few of the incredible milestones our patients have achievedโmoments we've had the privilege to be a part of that serve as the backbone of why we do what we do.
If our mission resonates and you'd like assistance overcoming any limitations, we'd love to talk.
