Performx Physical Therapy Wins - Saved by the Knife & Other Stories
Every Friday we send out an email newsletter with funny stories, top health tips, and things coming up in the community. This was our most popular newsletter for 2024!
As September draws to a close, I wanted to take a second today to share some of the amazing stuff our community in Independence and Salem have been up to.
The people we get to work with really blow us away & I don't think we truly celebrate them enough! So without further ado...
Vicky was able to do 100 x 60 lbs bench press with ZERO shoulder pain 💪
Vicky's a coach at Fire House Crossfit in Monmouth and originally came in for thumb pain that'd been bugging her for 3-years. After we got that sorted out (it wasn't unsolvable arthritis like everyone told her) we got to work on her shoulders & we we're over the moon when she sent us this video last week. Go Vicky!! You're absolutely killing it.
Amanda completed her 1st HALF MARATHON even though she came down with an achilles injury just weeks prior 🏃♀️
When we first met Amanda she was devastated, but determined. After a long time training for her first half marathon in Salem, she suffered an achilles injury just weeks before the race. But instead of just giving up, she reached out to see if thought there was a way she could still run it.
I'm not sure if she was or we were more excited when she texted saying she had crossed the finish line! We continued to work with her in Salem after the race to fix the issue for good and take care of a handful of other minor issues to bulletproof her running.
Brandon was "saved from the KNIFE" 🔪
Brandon has a pretty incredible story on all levels - ex-Military, an incredible weight loss journey, and is truly an inspiration to everyone who knows him in how he has chosen to prioritize his health and fitness.
Originally we met in our Independence clinic as he had a rotator cuff tear and was considering surgery. Now he feels that shoulder is actually stronger than the other (without surgery) and just hit a new 385 lbs deadlift PR on his 40th birthday.
Brandon is now working with us in our small group PT sessions in Salem... Honestly we would create almost anything he wanted to just keep him around!
We're excited to share more of these as October kicks off... Honestly it gets us fired up reflecting on the amazing people we get to work with.
Thank you to everyone who has taken a chance on us!
